Chapter 218

“Well, well, so this is the daughter of the Torrey family? You're quite the beauty,” the middle-aged woman jeered,

Her hands wandered over Ariana’s body. The sickening touch churned Ariana’s stomach. She shoved the

woman's hand away with disgust and snapped, “Stay away from me!

Before she could finish her sentence, a loud slap echoed through the cell. The woman had struck Ariana across

the face, making her ears ring painfully.

“Do you still think you're shigh-and-mighty rich lady? Wake up! You've offended the wrong people. They've

got plenty of ways to make sure you rot in here for the rest of your life!” the middle-aged woman snorted.

Another inmate sauntered over, her voice laced with malice “Better confess now and save yourself the trouble.”

Ariana, however, suddenly burst out laughing.

The other inmates froze. They had never seen someone get hit and laugh about it

“You're all without a future,” Ariana smirked. “You should be the ones worried about crossing me.

She tilted her head and added, “After all... Someone can getout of here. But no one’s coming to save you.”

Hearing Ariana’s arrogant remark, the inmates sneered. “Are you still talking big when you're already at death's

door? If you don’t confess, you're going to suffer for it!”

The women exchanged glances. Four of them stepped forward and pinned Ariana down, each holding one of her

limbs. Her arm, already injured, throbbed painfully. Her face turned ashen, cold sweat dripping down her

forehead as the agony intensified.

“One of the inmates grabbed Ariana’s hair and yanked her head back. “Now tell me. Are you going to confess or

not?

Despite the pain, Ariana gritted her teeth and gave the woman a disdainful smile. “You... are not qualified to

interrogate me."

“Still refusing?” The inmate pressed down hard on Ariana’s wounded arm. The wound opened, and blood oozed

out again.

Ariana knew this was a common tactic used in prison. It was a way to inflict pain without leaving permanent

damage.

It was clear Brian had paid these women to make her suffer and force her to confess. But too bad for them, she

wouldn't give in.

As the pressure on her wound intensified, Ariana’s grin only grew wider. She seemed resilient to the pain, almost

as if mocking their efforts.

Frustrated, the leader of the group barked, “Hit her!”

Two women held Ariana’s arms tightly while another started punching her stomach and abdomen.

The guards stationed outside didn’t so much as glance their way. It was as if they couldn’t hear the commotion.

inside.

“Boss, we've been at this for so long, and she still hasn't talked. What now?” one of the women asked.

“What else? Do you want to lose your chance at a reduced sentence? Keep hitting her!” The leader sauntered

over to Ariana, who was slumped against the wall.

Chapter 218

The floor beneath Ariana was stained with blood. Her arms were covered in red, and blood dripped from the

corner of her mouth.

“I heard Ms. Torrey is a skilled pianist,” the leader sneered. “But if those hands are ruined, how are you going to

seduce men in the future?”

With that, she placed her foot on Ariana’s bruised arm and pressed down hard.

Ariana winced as pain shot through her entire body, but her expression didn’t crumble. Instead, she laughed

defiantly.

The inmates wanted to see her break down, to cry and beg for mercy. But Ariana refused to give them the

satisfaction.

She would let them have their fun first. Everything could happen in a heartbeat. She would make them regret it

soon.
