Rose was so frightened that she practically lost her soul, collapsing weakly into Lukas's arms.
Lukas frowned. Despite his ruthless methods, he couldn't just stand by and watch as a person was hit by a car
right in front of him.
The car had crashed into the stone pillar in front of Stork House Building, nearly half of it crushed in. The driver's
forehead was against the steering wheel, blood running down.
Lukas released Rose, saying, "Stand on your own!"
Rose's body went weak, stumbling for a moment before quickly steadying herself against the nearby wall.
Lukas, his face cold, called Martins, "I've had a bit of an incident at Stork House Building. Please look into
whether it was an accident or if it was intentional!"
Martins's voice was serious, "Understood, I'll investigate right away!"
Lukas hung up, giving Rose a sidelong glance, "Rose, I'll warn you once again. If you don't want to be blacklisted,
stay far away fromin the future!"

Rose's lips quivered slightly, and she managed to force out, "I understand, thank you, Mr. Strakovski, for earlier!"
Lukas didn't even spare her a glance. To everyone present, the incident just now appeared to be an accident.
Lukas's car arrived, and he left without hesitation.
When Lukas returned home, Reese was seated on the sofa, with only a dim floor lamp lighting up the living room.
Little Reese was quietly nestled beside her, seemingly sensing her owner's bad mood, and was behaving
especially quiet and obedient today.
Lukas changed his shoes, took off his coat, loosened his tie, and cast a glance at Reese, "Why are you sitting in
the living room?"
As he spoke, he smiled and walked over to sit down.
He was still immersed in the subtle emotional changes between himself and Reese, completely unaware of her
unease.
However, as soon as he sat down, Reese frowned at him, "Have you been drinking?"
Lukas's voice, slightly hoarse from drinking, sounded sexy, "Just a little. Not enough for drunk driving!"
Reese's frown deepened, "And you've been smoking?"
Lukas chuckled, "Yeah, not much though!"
He thought Reese was showing concern for him, so his mood beceven better.
Reese stared at his handsface, thinking about this man who was ambiguous with Rose while lying to her at
the stime.
Her expression was incredibly complex, "Didn't you quit smoking already?"
Actually, Lukas had no need to lie to her at all. After all, she had no right to interfere with him, right?
Lukas was completely unaware of Reese's thoughts.
He chuckled lightly, "I suddenly felt that quitting smoking was meaningless. I've found something more
meaningful than that!"

Reese sneered inwardly, more meaningful indeed-juggling between two women without exposing himself?
Lukas might be a bit slow, but at this moment, he realized that something was off with Reese.
Staring at her, he furrowed his brows slightly, "Reese, what's wrong with you?" Reese coldly laughed, "Nothing's
wrong with me. I'm just a bit curious whether you men all like to go back on your words!"
Clearly saying that he had nothing with Rose, yet secretly going on a date with her-truly eye-opening.
For sreason, Reese's heart felt extremely uncomfortable.
Lukas's brows furrowed deeply, "What nonsense are you spouting? What's this about going back on my words?
Explain yourself clearly!"
Reese was already quite angry, having witnessed everything herself.
Did she have to embarrass herself by saying it out loud in front of Lukas and then ask why?
It would be so unsightly, so demeaning, and she wanted no part of it!
Reese glanced at Lukas, her expression icy, "You can just consider it nonsense!"
