Chapter 101:

Belinda’s face slowly turned pale.

“Is that all you know? Threatening her?”

Unable to contain his frustration at seeing Kristopher constantly picking on Belinda, Fred finally said, “If you're

going to hit someone, hit me! Do you think I'm scared of you?”

Kristopher laughed mockingly. “You think too highly of yourself.” He looked closely at the young athlete standing

before him, scrutinizing him as if he were a superior officer evaluating a junior.

“Your nis Fred Schmidt. You're 22 years old and a senior at Nawrin University’s Physical Education

Department, preparing for graduate studies. You were born in Blurith, over 300 miles from here. Your parents and

grandparents still live there, and your sister is in high school.”

Kristopher recited Fred's personal information emotionlessly, his voice even and calm.

Initially, Fred remained calm.

However, as Kristopher began to mention his family back in Blurith, fear and surprise appeared in Fred's eyes.

Fred had always been private about his family, especially because his parents were disabled.

He had kept his background a secret, to the extent that even his roommate of four years, Danilo, didn’t know

about it.

Yet here was Kristopher, detailing his family’s information, even his sister's age and specific details!

“Your sister is preparing for her second attempt at the college entrance exams. Her first score was...”

As Kristopher brought up his sister Della Schmidt's exam results, Fred started to sweat profusely and interrupted,

“Stop!”

Kristopher’s tone was still indifferent. “Do you know how long it tookto find this information?”

Fred just stared at him, trapped and terrified, yet determined to stand his ground.

Kristopher seemed unaffected by Fred's intense gaze.

“My assistant found it on the way here,” he said, checking his watch.

“It only took about ten minutes.” Fred's thoughts disappeared into a void.

This man...

How could he be so powerful and connected?

To know so much personal information, including the details about his family that he had tried so hard to keep

hidden... It could be dug up so quickly, in just ten minutes?

“Young man,” Kristopher continued, his hands still tucked in his pockets as he scanned Fred's face, now a mix of

anger and despair. “I'm not really interested in your personal life or your family. However, if you upset me,” he

said, flashing a smirk and oozing smugness, “crushing you would be no harder than stepping on an ant.”

Then, he casually pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and looked at Belinda, whom Fred was still protecting. “Belinda

Nelson, I'll give you another opportunity. Tellclearly what your relationship is with him.”

The situation was unfolding in a way Belinda never expected.

She had been in love with him for five years and knew how harsh and commanding he could be in business

dealings. She also knew what happened to those who crossed him in Nawrin.

Yet, this was her first twitnessing his severe and merciless nature in person.

Her hands balled into fists at her sides, then relaxed, then tensed again.

After a significant pause, she nervously bit her lip, moved around Fred, and with a shaky voice declared, “He and

I... have no relationship.”

Clad in black, Kristopher calmly blew out a ring of smoke and smirked slightly. “Is that so?”

“Yes, and everything he said was just nonsense,” Belinda added, biting her lip hard and trying to keep her hands

from shaking. “He’s merely a caregiver | employed for my assistance.”

Kristopher took another puff of his cigarette, then stared at her with a taunting smile. “Chere.”

Belinda inhaled deeply, glanced apologetically at Fred, and quickly stepped over to Kristopher’s side.

Kristopher flicked her jacket off her shoulders with a swift motion, letting it fall to the dusty ground.

He then tossed his cigarette down and stamped it out with his foot. Putting his arm around Belinda’s shoulders,

he made his claim clear, eyeing Fred. “Young man, | haven't divorced her yet. You have no right to be her lover.”
