Chapter 122:
As Belinda observed Cathy's ghostly pale face, she struggled to discern if the woman was truly suffering or
merely putting on a show. With her lips tightly pressed and hands balled into fists at her sides, Belinda’s voice
cracked as she said, “I'm not after her personally; | just want her to own up to her actions and apologize for her
mistakes...”
Before she could finish, Cathy's breathing escalated sharply.
Kristopher enveloped Cathy protectively in his arms, shooting a fierce look at Belinda. “Enough! Are you upset
just because Cathy accidentally pushed you this morning? Now you seem to be using this incident to lash out
because of a misunderstanding involving the security guard?”
His gaze pierced through her, cold and sharp as an eternal glacier. “Belinda, | always believed you were
generous, no matter the circumstance. | thought that was just who you are. | never imagined it was just a
facade! You're actually quite spiteful!”
As he spoke, the sound of an ambulance could be heard arriving outside.
Cathy shot Belinda a triumphant look, then turned to Kristopher weakly, clutching his hand. “Kristopher, | feel so
terrible... Please, taketo the ambulance for soxygen...”

As they brushed past, Cathy's leg struck Belinda forcefully, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
The impact of the bump caused Belinda to stagger backward, almost causing her to lose her footing.
Luckily, Allen was there to catch her, preventing her from falling.

“It hurts...”
Before Belinda could even respond, Cathy, cradled in Kristopher’s arms, started crying loudly.
“Just leave her be.”
With a sympathetic look at Cathy, Kristopher quickened his pace and moved on.
Shortly after, the sounds of the ambulance door swinging open, then shutting, and the vehicle pulling away filled
the air.
As the siren faded into the distance, Belinda felt a sharp ache where Cathy had struck her.
“Are you okay?”
Allen guided her to the couch, instinctively reaching to check the spot where Cathy's collision had impacted her
stomach, but quickly deemed it inappropriate and withdrew his hand.
“Stanley...”
Anthony’s brow furrowed. “Get the doctor to see to Belinda’s injury.”
Upon hearing this, Belinda hastily clutched her clothes and said, “It’s nothing, Anthony, just a small bump. I...”
“She deliberately kicked you. | saw it clearly!”
Anthony gave a cold snort and slammed his hand down on the sofa’s armrest. “She did that on purpose! She was
wearing sharp high heels and kicked your stomach. How can you possibly be okay?” He then shot a stern look at
Stanley. “Hurry up!”
Stanley nodded quickly and hurried off.
Minutes later, Anthony's family doctor arrived, medical bag in hand. “Sir, what seems to be the issue?”
Anthony gestured towards Belinda. “Her stomach was kicked by a reckless woman. Could you check on her?”
The doctor, Renee Truman, who had served the Cox family for more than two years, wasn’t particularly close to
Belinda, but they knew each other well.
She furrowed her brow and asked Belinda, “Can you walk on your own?”
Belinda nodded and instinctively stood up, but in her haste, aggravated a wound on her leg, causing her to
wince and almost lose her balance. Renee steadied her, then glanced at Allen. “Could you help, please?”
Allen quickly supported Belinda to the adjacent bedroom.
After Allen left, Renee gently shut the bedroom door, then turned to Belinda and whispered, “Why does your face
look so pale after not seeing you for a few months? Did you ever go to the hospital to get that stomach check-up
| recommended last time?”
