Chapter 192:
Just then, Belinda’s phone buzzed. It was a text from Anthony. His message was brief. “Belinda, you'll always be
part of my family.”
Those few words, unexpectedly, stirred a strong emotion in Belinda, who had managed to stay composed until
now. She realized that the person most devastated by the divorce wasn’t her or Kristopher. It was Anthony.
Despite his own heartache, he sent his blessings from a distance, understanding her struggles over the years
better than anyone else.
As Kristopher got out of his car, he caught the sorrow in Belinda’s eyes. The pain and regret in her look struck a
chord in him. He frowned.
Brushing past Cathy, who had just stepped out of the car, Kristopher walked up to Belinda. In a tone that was
chillingly calm and intended for her ears only, he queried, “Having second thoughts?”
“Second thoughts?”
“Absolutely not,” Belinda stated firmly, sliding her phone into her bag without sparing him a glance. “Let's

Kristopher’s gaze sharpened as he watched her walk away. She hadn't made eye contact during their terse
exchange. Was it that she couldn't bear to look at him, or that she feared her resolve might waver? If she still
harbored feelings, why was she so determined to finalize their divorce?
“Kristopher!” Cathy called out, catching up with them at the courthouse entrance. She grasped his arm. “Should
| go inside with you?”
She bit her lip, molding her features into a look of beauty and vulnerability for the cameras. “I'm worried they
might take advantage of you.”
Kristopher frowned and opened his mouth to respond but paused at the sight of the growing crowd. Gently, he
freed his arm from Cathy's grip. “You should stay here. This is between Belinda and me.”
Tears brimmed in Cathy's eyes. “But Kristopher—"
“If Miss Miller is so eager to watch, she can cinside too,” Belinda interjected, stopping abruptly and offering
a mocking smile. “If all three of us enter for a divorce, the court staff won't even need to ask why. It'll streamline
the process.”
The color drained from Cathy's face. She tightened her grip on Kristopher’'s arm and shot Belinda a venomous
look, whispering loud enough for them to hear, “In any relationship, the one who isn’t loved is always the
outsider!”
“Oh?” Belinda retorted with a smirk. “Are you implying that I'm the irrelevant outsider, and that you two have a
legitimate claim?”
Cathy huffed, interpreting the smirk as confirmation. “In that case, we might as well cancel the divorce
proceedings, right? After all, you seem quite comfortable with your current arrangement—"
“Miss Miller?” Belinda asked, then feigned turning to leave.
Cathy, who had orchestrated this very public separation, reacted instantly, seizing Belinda’s arm. “Don’t you
dare walk away!”
With her back to Kristopher, Cathy's innocent facade dropped. In a menacing whisper meant only for Belinda,
she hissed, “After everything we've been through, what's holding you back now? What are you second guessing?
Kristopher has arranged our engagement party—venue, cake, everything. We're about to celebrate our union.
Don’t ruin it now!”
