Chapter 218:
After he hung up, their boss turned to greet them with a wide grin.
Darren quickly took a step forward. “Mr. Moreno, I'd like to introduce...”
“No need for introductions. I'm already aware of Miss Nelson's recent coverage,” Ryland Moreno interjected, his
sharp gaze belonging to a cunning, balding man in his mid-fifties.
He gestured towards Darren and then smiled warmly at Belinda. “Miss Nelson, you've been making headlines
recently. It’s wonderful to finally meet you! You're even lovelier in person than in the photos!”
A touch of color rose to Belinda’s cheeks as she accepted the compliment. “Mr. Moreno, I've finished my
onboarding. I'm officially part of the team now, so please, assignany tasks you have.”
Ryland laughed heartily. “There’s no urgent work at the moment, yet there is one task that demands your
attention.”
He relayed the details of a recent phone conversation and complimented Belinda once more. “Out of many
entries, they chose your design and even requested a meeting with you, which really highlights the quality of

He handed her a cup of coffee. “Miss Nelson, we're relying on you.” He paused, then added, “As Darren may
have mentioned, given the recent press coverage... Your designs will be credited to Joyce Scott, and you'll need
to keep your identity hidden.” Ryland looked at her intently. “Are you okay with that?”
Belinda nodded as she took a sip of her coffee. “I am.”
Her aim was to design jewelry, not to chase fame. She simply desired to bring her creations to life during the
tshe had left.
Ryland visibly relaxed upon hearing her agreement. “Don’t worry. Once this media stir dies down, you'll be able
to claim credit for your work.”

He offered further reassurance to Belinda, “There’s no need to be anxious. The company’s boss has a packed
schedule, and the meeting isn’t for another three days. You'll be...”
Suddenly, a voice cut him off. “Something's wrong!” A person burst into the office, their expression etched with
panic. “There’s a major problem!”
“Ansell Cooper, the coordinator for the fashion magazine's photoshoot, has cdown with severe food
poisoning and couldn't make it today. The magazine has made it clear they won't take responsibility for our
jewelry without someone there to oversee things, and we're already short on staff...”
The person looked overwhelmed. “What do we do now?”
“Ill handle it,” Belinda declared, her brow furrowing as she turned to Ryland. “I can’t make any changes without
the client's detailed plan. With everyone else tied up, it makes sense for me, even though I'm the newest here,
to go.”
No one raised any objections.
Resolved, Belinda caught a taxi to the photoshoot location.
To her surprise, as she got out of the taxi, she immediately bumped into Maggie and Cathy, both extravagantly
dolled up.
Belinda wasn’t sure if her tic new haircut had rendered her invisible or if Cathy and Maggie simply didn’t
notice her as they breezed past, deep in conversation.
“Cathy, when will you take us for a spin in that Ferrari?” Maggie inquired.
