Chapter 278:
“What was he wearing? Do you remember? Let's not end up right in front of him without recognizing him.”
“I've got it. His roommate told us. He's in blue pajamas, a white denim jacket, and white slippers. He should be
easy to spot.”
“But we've been searching all night and haven't found anyone who matches the description or anyone dressed
like that...”
As they spoke, the voices paused right outside the storage room, followed by someone trying the door handle.
“Do you think he could be hiding in here?”
“Probably not. It looks like this place hasn’t been used in ages.”
“But what if? The key to this room should be in the duty room on the first floor, right? Go grab it. Ill wait here.”
The other person hesitated briefly before nodding. “Alright, I'll head there now.”
With that, the footsteps slowly faded away. Belinda’s pulse quickened.

Instinctively, she clutched Kristopher’s arm, whispering into his ear, “What should we do now?”
If the man returned with the key to open the door...
Then the three of them would be caught.
Kristopher glanced at Fred, noticing his anxious expression and his outfit of blue pajamas and a jacket. After a
brief pause, he sighed, walked up to Fred, and removed his suit jacket, handing it to Belinda. He then started to
unbutton his shirt, saying, “Change clothes.”
Fred was momentarily taken aback, suddenly grasping Kristopher’s plan.

His initial reaction was to resist, not wanting Kristopher’s assistance.
“I'm not changing. I'd rather just be caught...”
Kristopher’s expression grew cold. “We're here to rescue you and keep you from getting into trouble. We didn’t
even call the police—we cin ourselves to find you. And now you want to give up?”
Kristopher shot him an icy look, his voice low and firm. His commanding presence left Fred no room to argue.
As Kristopher removed his tie, he fixed Fred with a stern gaze. “Once Belinda and | distract those two men in
black, check that the coast is clear. Then disguise yourself as a dean and walk out. No one will notice.”
Fred bit his lip, his worry evident. “But what if you're caught...”
“Me, get caught?” Kristopher laughed silently, his tone laced with confidence. “Then they would be the unlucky
ones.”
Fred looked up, his gaze drawn to Kristopher’s stern, imposing expression.
If anyone else had spoken those proud words, Fred would have dismissed them as mere boldness. But when they
cfrom Kristopher, they didn’t seem overblown; instead, Fred found himself utterly persuaded.
“Fred.”
Noticing his dazed stare at Kristopher, Belinda’s eyebrows furrowed as she raised her voice to snap him out of it,
reminding him to hurry and change.
Fred quickly returned to the moment.
