Chapter 312:

Belinda paused, a bitter smile curling her lips.

She had just been mercilessly beaten by Cathy’s agent.

Now, Kristopher was accusing her of scheming against his beloved Cathy.

A cynical smile flickered across her face.

She had been foolish to expect concern from Kristopher, especially after their divorce.

Noticing her silence, Kristopher frowned, glancing worriedly at Cathy, who lay pale and unconscious in a hospital

bed, surrounded by doctors trying to revive her. His voice carried a tinge of annoyance. “Do you have a moment?

| may need your help to clarify sthings about Cathy.”

Belinda rolled over, pressing her back against the cold floor, and stared up at the ceiling of the repair shop.

“Clarify what? Was anything Fred said even remotely untruthful? Miss Miller hiring online trolls to attack me,

exposing my personal details, and cyberbullying— aren’t those facts? What do you expectto clarify

now? That she wasn’t really behind the cyberbullying, or that | somehow orchestrated those insults against

myself?” Her voice was hoarse and subdued.

At that moment, Kristopher realized something was off with her tone.

His brow furrowed in concern.

“Where are you?”

“You don’t need to know that,” she responded icily, then took a deep breath and ended the call.

She barely had tto set the phone aside before it started ringing again.

It was Kristopher calling back.

With a weary sigh, she blocked his number.

“Miss.”

The repair shop owner, who had been hiding, now emerged guiltily from behind the door, eyeing the wounded

Belinda on the floor. “Should I call an ambulance for you?”

Belinda nodded. “First, call the police,” she instructed firmly, resolved not to let Jessa get away with attacking

her in broad daylight.

The owner hesitated for a moment, then exhaled in relief. “Okay, I'll call them right now.”

He then gestured upwards. “There are surveillance cameras in my shop.”

Belinda mustered a forced smile. “I know.”

She had spotted the surveillance camera right from the start. That was the reason she had intentionally moved

toward the corner of the room when those men in black appeared.

She wanted to ensure they were within the camera’s field of view.

Shortly thereafter, the police showed up, followed by an ambulance. As paramedics loaded Belinda into the

ambulance, the police collaborated with the repair shop owner to secure the surveillance footage.

“How did you end up like this?” Marlene asked as he examined Belinda’s wounds at Peace Hospital, his brow

furrowed. “You're already in a frail state. How did you find yourself in a scuffle?”

A bitter smile crossed Belinda’s lips.

What scuffle?
