Chapter 105: She Was Leaving Forever
Chapter 105: She Was Leaving Forever
“Elena!” | called out as | pushed open the door.
The bed was neatly made, untouched since yesterday. The Luna's Vanity Chamber was bare of cosmetics.
stripped of all the personal items that had made it hers.
I rushed to the Moonhaven Wardrobe Chamber, my heart pounding. It was empty of Elena’s clothes, except for
the ones | had bought for her. Everything she had chosen herself, everything that represented her
independence, was gone.
| called Elena’s phone, but it went straight to voicemail. She had blockedfrom the pack communication
network entirely.
In the Great Hall, | saw the jewelry box | had given her yesterday, untouched on the table. The moonstone
necklace lay inside, rejected like everything else | had offered.
My eyes fell on the Moonhaven Estate Calendar. Today’s date was marked with four crosses. She had toldit
was the day to buy a new car, and | had believed her.
| suddenly understood what it meant. The crosses weren't marking a car purchase. They were marking her
escape.
My body began to tremble. The realization hitlike a physical blow, Elena wasn't just leaving for a few days.
She was leaving forever.

Not only did Elena want to leave, she also wanted to sever our mate bond. But | would never allow this to
happen!
| rushed to my study and retrieved a bottle of moonlight potion from the locked cabinet. | had rec a wizard
months ago, never thinking | would actually use it.

My hands shook as | arranged the ritual circle, drawing the ancient symbols with desperate precision. The
moon goddess would hear my plea, even if it was selfish,
“1. Marcus Blackwood, choose to block my mate bond with Elena Blackwood,” | spoke the words that felt like
polson on my tongue. “I will no longer be able to sense her, but | refuse to allow her to unilaterally sever our
mate bond.”
A sharp pain pierced my heart like a silver knife. The intense agony almost madefaint, but I held on,
completing the ritual through sheer force of will.
| knew my request was unfair to Elena, but | couldn't bear to lose her. | would never allow it.
The effect of this ritual was short-lived. | had to find Elena as soon as possible before the magic wore off.
| got up from the ground with difficulty, my legs unsteady from the magical backlash. Suddenly, | heard a phone
vibrating inside a wooden box on Elena’s desk.
Inside the box, | found mate bond severance papers, already signed and notarized. Beside them lay Elena's
phone, the one | had given her years ago.
| opened the phone with trembling fingers and saw messages from a familiar number. The messages were
like silver daggers stabbing into my heart, each word a painful blow
Sophia’s messages taunted Elena with cruel precision “Marcus is by my side after my suicide attempt. Being
loved is more important than a mating certificate Stop clinging to him when he clearly doesn’t want you.”
Tre read the messages multiple times, each reading sending deeper pain through our severed mate bond The
cruelty in Sophia's words was breathtaking
| recalled my own harsh words to Elena over the years. How many times had | dismissed her feelings? How many
times had | chosen Sophia’s comfort over Elena’s dignity?
| thought about how things might have been different if | had trusted Elena even once. If | had seen through
Sophia’s manipulations sooner
But it was too late for regrets. Elena was gone, and | had only myself to blame.
| made my way to the Northern Territory Central Healing Institute, my Alpha aura radiating controlled fury.
The staff scattered beforelike leaves in a hurricane.
| found Sophia’s room and entered without knocking. She was on the phone, her voice animated and pleased.
The moment she saw me, her whole face instantly turned pale. The phone slipped from her nerveless fingers.
“Marcus. Marcus, why are you here?” she forced a smile, trying to hide her panic.
| glanced at the phone she was attempting to hide behind her pillow. “Whose call was that?”
“Just a friend checking up on me,” she lied smoothly. “I'm feeling much better now.”
She tried to change the subject, mentioning wanting to spend twith Oliver after being discharged. Using
her son as leverage, as always
| looked at the flowers on the bedside table, expensive arrangements that spoke of guilt and manipulation.
“Have you sent any messages to Elena recently?”
Sophia's denial was immediate and vehement. “No, of course not. Why would | contact her?”
| pulled out Elena’s phone and showed her the chat history. The color drained from Sophia’s face as she saw
her own cruel words displayed on the screen.
She was speechless, her body trembling like a leaf in a storm.
Seeing her lies exposed again, | laughed coldly. The sound was harsh and bitter in the sterile hospital room.
“Have you been sending those messages behind my back all along?” | asked, my voice deadly quiet.
Sophia panicked, trying to explain, reaching out to touch my arm. | pushed her away, sending her sprawling back
against the pillows.
| wiped my hand with a handkerchiel, disgusted by her touch. The gesture was deliberate, calculated to
wound.
“Everyone says | favored you because | owed you,” | said, my voice filled with contempt. “So | gave you
whatever you wanted. But what about you?”
My Alpha power began to leak out, making the air in the room heavy and oppressive. “You were using me.
plotting against me, makingthe villain who ruined the Blackthorne family.”
Sophia cried and trembled, denying the accusations through her tears. But her guilt was written across her

face.
“Have you always been deceivingwith that face?” | demanded.
| waved my hand, my Alpha power lashing out. A crystal vase on the windowsill exploded into a thousand pieces,
the sound sharp and final.
Sophia was shocked by the display of my supernatural strength, her eyes wide with terror as she finally
understood the depth of my rage.
