She wandered the streets for half an hour, her mind a whirlwind, when she spotted Maggie by sheer chance. Maybe it was fate, or
perhaps her brother guiding her from beyond. There was Maggie, stripped of her former elegance, looking disheveled and lost
amidst the busy downtown.
Maggie was sitting outside a bustling mall, blending into the crowd of shoppers who barely noticed her. Who would have thought
the once-proud Maggie would disguise herself as a beggar in such a posh district?
Lindsay watched her from a distance, then walked into a nearby store and bought a knife. Her heart pounded as she approached
Maggie.
Maggie, oblivious to the danger, sat there smugly, convinced that Marlon's people would never find her. Her confidence shattered
when she heard footsteps and someone calling her name.
"Maggie."
