Chapter 603
Chapter 603
Stephanic nodded. “Yeah, it's confirmed. What should we do? | can’t just ignore Ella’s situation.”
The former female leader of Dark Portal. Rumor had it that the current leader had quite a conflict with the former
leader to claim the position. This situation was really messed up.
Sebastian smiled, “Callhubby.”
Stephanie was taken aback.
Sebastian asked, “Not calling?”
“What are you doing?” Stephanie said. Her cheeks flushed bright red. They were having a serious conversation,
and here he was, playing games.
“Just say it,” Sebastian insisted.
Stephanie thought, ‘Not now... We're in the middle of something important.
Sebastian smiled, “Say it, and Ill tell you what to do.”
Although it was not a good tfor this, she was convinced. “Really?”

“Stefi, be good and get used to it,” Sebastian said. After all, he was not her brother, not anymore.
Stephanie squirmed awkwardly in his arms, trying to break free, but Sebastian had no intention of letting her go.
Instead, his grip on her waist tightened just a bit.
In the end, Stephanie relented, her voice barely above a whisper. “Hubby.” Her already flushed face turned even
redder.
Sebastian was totally amused. “Say it again.”
“Oh, con...” she muttered, but repeated it. “Hubby.”
There was a moment of silence.
“Can you tellnow?” Stephanie asked, feeling a mix of embarrassment and curiosity. She had never realized
how mischievous he could be.
Sebastian finally seemed satisfied. He playfully pinched her nose. “Actually, if she’s truly the former leader of
Dark Portal, there's really nothing to worry about.”
“What do you mean?” Stephanie asked, puzzled. If Andrea really was the previous leader of Dark Portal, she'd
likely have issues with the current leader. Plus, she was taken away from Long Harbor by the current head of
Dark Portal. This made it quite complicated.
But compared to Stephanie’s worries, Sebastian seemed to understand things more clearly. “After all, anyone
who's been a leader at Dark Portal isn’t just a rookie,” he said.
Stephanie was quiet for a moment. “When you put it like that, it does make sense,” she admitted reluctantly.
“But still, she’s the ex-leader.”
How could an ex-leader compete with the current leader's power? Although she wasn’t too willing to admit it,
the saying “out of sight, out of mind” carried struth.
“The current position, it’s been unstable in the organization for years,” Sebastian said, his tone serious.

“Unstable?” Stephanie echoed, frowning.
Sebastian nodded. “Unstable.”
Stephanie thought for a moment. “Is it because of Andrea?” If it was unstable... what could be the reason? But if
it was because he got the position through questionable means, it made sense. Using dishonest ways to reach
that position naturally led to instability.
Sebastian carried her to the sofa and sat down. “From what | know, the former female leader in the organization
was highly respected. Someone like her can’t be easily replaced.”
“Doesn't that make things more complicated?” Stephanie said, her voice filled with concern.

This raised the issue of stability. If, as Sebastian mentioned, the current leader hadn't been secure for years,
bringing back the former leader now seemed like a desperate move. Stephanie was even more worried about
Andrea.
Sebastian seemed to read her mind, and his voice deepened with a hint of seriousness. “Given her position,
what's happening between her and the organization isn’t something you can really help with.”
Of course, Stephanie thought, her shoulders slumping in resignation. With the organization's top leaders
involved, what could a young girl like her possibly do? She felt a pang of helplessness.
But then Sebastian's tone softened, almost as if he was about to reveal a secret. “But you might still be able to
help her.
“How can | help?” Stephanie’s eyes lit up with hope the moment she heard his words. She leaned forward, eager
to hear
more.
Sebastian met her hopeful gaze and chuckled softly, a teasing glint in his eyes. “Help ensure Ella’s safety.”
Stephanie was at a loss for words.
