Stephanie didn’t think this was so-called “help”. But then she remembered how much Andrea had worried about
Ella before she disappeared. ‘Sebastian’s right,” she thought.
“Ella’s with Lorenzo,” Stephanie blurted out, her voice tinged with urgency. “And he thinks she’s working against
him. | need to bring her back here.” She couldn't shake the feeling that it was her duty to protect Ella, especially
after everything Andrea had done for her.
Sebastian sighed, his expression turning thoughtful. He had hoped Stephanie would understand that Ella’s safety
was the priority, but he hadn't expected her to want to take Ella away from Lorenzo.
He remembered how Ella and Stephanie had been inseparable back in Long Harbor. If Ella chere, they'd be

clever.” She was confident in her assessment of Ella’s abilities. If Ella had any real skills, Andrea wouldn't have
been constantly asking for her help.
Sebastian's eyes softened as he looked at her. “Lorenzo likes her.”
‘That story again,” Stephanie thought, her mind racing. She couldn't help but wonder if it was really true. She
glanced at Sebastian, trying to read his expression, but he just looked thoughtful.
It wasn't just Stephanie who had doubts; Ella herself was uncertain. When she received Stephanie’s call, Ella was
nervously sitting in her room.
Before, as long as she didn’t have to face Lorenzo, she felt okay. But now, things were different. Even when
Lorenzo wasn’t around, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease.
Watching Lorenzo get into the car with several men carrying guns, Ella’s heart raced. She felt that being close to

Ella snapped out of her fear. “Oh, Stefi.”
“What are you thinking about? I've been calling you several times and you didn’t answer,” Stephanie said.
“I... | saw Lorenzo leave, with a bunch of people, and snipers,” Ella replied.
Stephanie raised an eyebrow. “You usually don’t pay attention to these things, right? Like from a movie?” She
paused. “Huh? How do you know?”
“Because there were people carrying long guns,” Ella explained.
Stephanie sighed inwardly. ‘Definitely learned that from movies. She didn’t really know what was going on. Since
she could remember, Sebastian always made those arrangements without her knowing.

Thinking about this, Ella sniffed. “If | could, I'd really want to hide somewhere no one knows me.” A place far
away from Lorenzo. He was the most terrifying man she had ever encountered.
“I can help with that, but only for a short time. Your life can’t be peaceful anymore,” Stephanie said, her voice
soft but firm. As harsh as it sounded, it was undeniable: Ella’s world had been completely shattered.
