Chapter 349 Sam Ran Away 'Why was Molly here?' 'Kelvin can't see her!' Sam thought.
"Your mom's at the back door," Timothy said, "I'll pretend to fall asleep, and you sneak in to grab the room key. It's in the inner pocket of my suit jacket." He even pointed it out to make sure Sam knew where it was.
"Once you have the key, you can open the door. I'll get the bodyguards to leave, but I can't promise you'll get away clean. From here on, it's all on you, Sam." Timothy couldn't show he was helping Sam escape. He needed to keep his distance. This was as much as he could do. The rest was up to Sam.
"Got it," Sam replied.
Timothy patted his head, feeling emotional. They were family, but each had their own worries and didn't recognize each other.
"Ah, I'm so sleepy," Timothy stretched. "Kelvin, what if Molly doesn't show up?" "Wait." "Fine, you wait. I'm taking a nap. I don't know why you draggedhere. This place is small and shabby, nothing like LA." Timothy yawned and headed to the bedroom, thinking it was a good thing he came. Who knew how today would have ended otherwise? Unbeknownst to Kelvin, Timothy's true purpose was to extend assistance to Penelope and her son. This revelation likely caught Kelvin off guard.
Timothy went into the bedroom. Sam remembered everything Timothy said.
His eyes darted around, and he deliberately dropped the vegetable salad on the floor. "What is this? It's gross. I don't want it!" He jumped off the sofa. "I'm going to wash my hands." Kelvin let him go. Sam couldn't leave the room anyway. He'd wait until it got dark. He was sure Molly wouldn't leave her son behind.
Kelvin was confident he'd win this round.

Timothy was on the bed, his suit jacket tossed aside, eyes closed, pretending to sleep.
As planned, Sam quickly grabbed the room key. Before leaving, he whispered, "Thank you." Timothy's eyelids twitched but stayed closed. Sam knew he heard him.
Walking out of the bedroom, Kelvin was by the window, looking at the busy street below.
"Sam," he suddenly called out.
Startled, Sam replied, "Here!" "Aren't you sad Molly isn't coming to get you?" That question scared him. He thought Kelvin had caught him stealing the key. False alarm! "I'm not sad. You're a bad guy. I don't want my mom to fall into your hands," Sam said, "Even if you lockup, I won't tell you her number or address!" "What if I take you back to LA?" "LA? That beautiful coastal city, warm and lively?" Kelvin nodded. "Yes, do you want to go?" "No," Sam refused. "No matter how beautiful, it's meaningless without my mom!" Kelvin fell silent, one hand in his pocket, still gazing into the distance.
Seeing his chance, Sam bolted to the door and pressed the room key against it. The lock clicked open! Sam yanked the door handle down.
Hearing the noise, Kelvin spun around and saw Sam darting out like a slippery eel.

How did Sam open the door? "Stop!" Kelvin shouted, sprinting after him. "Sam! Stop!" With his long strides, he reached the door in no time.
Timothy, hearing the commotion, quickly got up, pretending to be groggy. "What's going on? What happened?" Kelvin didn't answer and dashed out the door.
Damn.
Timothy thought, he had to follow and cause a distraction to stop Kelvin from catching Sam.
With that in mind, Timothy chased after them.
Sam ran like his life depended on it.
"Stop him!" Kelvin yelled, "You idiots, what are you standing there for!" The bodyguard, holding two large bags of fruit, hesitated.
Timothy had specifically asked him to buy those. Wouldn't it be bad if they got smashed? Taking advantage of the hesitation, Sam reached the stairwell.
Smartly, he chose the stairs over the elevator. The winding layout would help him escape.
By the tthe bodyguard dropped the fruit to chase him, Sam had already slipped into the stairwell.
Hurried footsteps echoed.
"Mr. Davis."

Kelvin chased after him. He didn't believe Sam could escape with so many people around.
Timothy stood by the railing, :m watching Sam descend the stairs quickly. The kid was pretty agile. The e content is on novelenglish.net! Kelvin was always a floor behind. Sam's small size made him more nimble.
Sam leaned on the stair railing, sliding down quickly.
"Mr. Davis!" The bodyguard was about to chase but Timothy stopped him. "Let's take the elevator to the first floor to intercept him." "Yes." Timothy leisurely walked to the elevator.
The elevator was still on the eighth floor. It would take too long to cup and then go down.
Sam didn't know how many floors he had descended. The stairs seemed endless.
Kelvin's footsteps were always behind him, making Sam stay alert.
He perked up his ears, listening for other sounds.
Finally, he heard a ding and the sound of elevator doors closing.
This was his moment! Sam ran out of the stairwell, heading straight for the elevator. "Wait!" Just as the doors were about to close, he slipped in.
As Kelvin arrived, the elevator doors had sealed shut, carrying Sam downward.
"Damn it!" Kelvin punched the wall.
