Chapter 1162
"They'll cwhen they get hungry!" said Danielle, leaning against the
doorframe.
"That Peter! He loves going on long walks with the girls..." Celeste said, looking
out at the vast field stretching beyond her view.
"They probably went far. You know the four of them went out. Leave them be! The
babies will get hungry soon enough, and that's when they'll remember they have a
hand cback.
*Poor Peter, though-he'll show up with two babies crying their lungs out,
especially little Martina, who's got quite the temper!"
"Ha ha, yes! You're totally right. Peter says the sthing. He says he's paying
for all his past life karma through his daughters-especially my little Martina..."
"How are things between you and him?"
"We're good, doing really well... Can | tell you something?"
"Of course, go ahead."
"When | met Peter, | never imagined the adventure I'd begin at his side. He was
such a serious and respectful man. You'd be surprised if you had known him back
then.
"Now, he's done a lot of work with his memories, and I'm not going to lie this
version of him is my favorite. | have to admit, | love him, | admire him, and I'm
grateful every day to be by his side.
"He's an amazing man, a great father, he loves and adores his daughters, he
adores his mother, and with me, well..."
"Don't even go there! | don't want to know the dirty details..." Danielle said,

Celeste smiled shyly, just thinking about how it felt to be with him in every way-
something she was also thankful for. The man she once knew wasn't a bad
partner, but there was something in him that held back, and she could feel it.
The man he was now he was free and acted like it. To him, she was everything.
She was his world, one of the most precious people in his life, and he made sure
to show her that every day and every night, in many ways.
They never had a dream wedding. They'd never really talked about it at least,
not that she knew. Celeste wore the engagement ring he gave her, but for one
reason or another, that moment had never happened. And honestly, it didn't
bother her.
"Told you... They'd cback when the babies got hungry."
Celeste looked up and saw Peter, Aria, Ellie, and the girls walking back to the
house. Even from a distance, she could hear both babies crying-which clearly
meant they were starving.
By the tthey got home, Peter looked scared. He couldn't get the girls to stop
crying.
"They just started crying and won't stop..." Peter said as he handed Martina to
Celeste.
"Son, | told you they're hungry..." Aria said, shaking her head.
"Aunt Celeste, look... We brought you flowers! Uncle Peter says these are your
favorites..." said Ellie, handing her the bouquet.
"Thank you, sweetie! Alright, everyone inside these girls are dying for a bite to
eat."
"I think we went a little too far today, huh?" Peter said sheepishly.
"Yeah, just a bit..." Celeste said, putting Martina into her high chair.
"Con, con! Let's eat-I'm starving," Danielle said as she settled Flora
into another high chair.
Both girls were starting to eat solid food-sort of but they were doing it, and their
parents didn't hold them back.
Peter loved watching his daughters hit each milestone. He was truly proud of that
part of his life.
The man he remembered from his
past didn't want commitment. Now,
he was the father of two beautiful
little girls and the partner of a
woman who deeply loved him
They along with his mother sister,
and niece-were his world
If someone asked him what he
preferred-his single life or this
one-he knew the answer without a
doubt. He preferred this one. A life.
