“Mrs. Potter said you needn’t show her any courtesy.”

So many people and things had passed through Geoffrey's life over the years.

Lisa served as Alex's living memo, meticulously noting what Mrs. Potter instructed-and what she hadn't.

“Got it.”

Alex tossed the photos into the nearby trash bin before striding out of the room.

Andrea waited downstairs, puzzled. Wayne had always been Geoffrey's shadow-when did this woman replace

him?

Soon, Alex emerged with Lisa.

“Alex.”

Andrea shot up from the sofa, residual fear from her asylum imprisonment tightening her throat.

Alex swept an indifferent gaze over her and settled onto the couch.

She vividly remembered his supposed blindness last time-so it truly had been an act.

“Alex, I'm sorry. Since Mrs. Gu released me, I've regretted everything. | shouldn't have deceived you. Can you

forgive me?”

Alex instantly understood her plea.

“Apologize to Maureen.”

Andrea shook her head frantically. “No! I'll apologize to-to Reenie right now.

She fumbled for her phone to call Maureen.

“I want you kneeling at her doorstep to beg forgiveness!”

Alex enunciated each word clearly.

Andrea didn’t know how she walked out of Pearl.

As she left, Lisa asked in confusion: “Alex, why force her to apologize to Maureen?”

“You and the young master never got along. Now you're protecting his wife too?”

The moment she finished speaking, she felt needles prick her back.

Alex's usually gentle gaze turned icy: “Lisa, you wouldn't understand.”

The two didn’t stay long at Pearl before leaving.

Wayne never expected the tunnel the boss had ordered dug would serve this

purpose.

Though Geoffrey had lost his memory, returning to Pearl sparked sinstinct-he knew exactly where the

confidential files were hidden.

He retrieved them quickly.

Wayne was flattered. “Boss, wouldn't you rather review this yourself?”

“I trust you won't betray me.”

Geoffrey stated.

“Understood.”

Flipping through a few pages, he realized his boss’s personal savings went far beyond surface appearances-

During the drive back, Wayne buzzed with excitement while Geoffrey remained impassive. Launching

corporations was routine for him.

Just then, his phone rang. Thinking it was Maureen, his eyes lit up as he answered immediately.

But the joy vanished from his face within seconds.

“Geoff, you must have seen the news these days. Live well with Maureen. If you need anything, call me.

Heather hesitated before finally dialing Geoffrey.

only choice.”

No blind man could lead Ramirez, yet everyone feared the sighted Geoffrey. That's why nobody questioned the

imposter’s identity.

Geoffrey listened silently, his expression calm.

Having no memories, he felt nothing toward this biological mother. Her self-righteous abandonment didn’t

wound him.

Geoffrey paused, his voice turning icy. “But | despise being replaced!”

“I'll reclaim my identity my way. If necessary. I'll kill him!

Reenie and | won't live under false names forever.”

Heather choked up.

“Geoff, how could you say that?

Alex is your own brother.”

Before Heather could respond, Geoffrey hung up.

She felt that Geoffrey, after amnesia, disowned his family and was utterly terrifying.
