Sensing Lucas's hesitation, Xenia pressed on. "Frank has invested half his fortune into this project just to gain a foothold in Yasnia. If it fails, it'll be a devastating blow for him!" "How could you resort to such underhanded methods? Can't people compete fairly anymore? Does Donovan really have to go as far as destroying Noelle?" Lucas felt something was off, though he couldn't pinpoint what. "Lucas, Donovan isn't trying to ruin her. He just thinks Noelle isn't suited for business or being in the spotlight. Besides, she's already offended the Merlocks. Her future path won't be easy. If Noelle fails this time, she'll return to her studies and stop causing trouble." Lucas fell silent.
Xenia continued, "Noelle's getting so much attention, and she doesn't care about the Liddell family anymore. She even thought about joining your rivals, Team Celestial.
"Donovan just wants her to face ssetbacks so she'll realize how good the Liddell family is. Maybe then she'll stay on your team instead of joining them. After all, we're family!" Lucas faltered. Could Noelle really end up staying on his team? "What are you two sneaking around about?" Noelle's sudden appearance startled them both.
Xenia jumped in fright and quickly explained, "Nothing, we were just discussing the team. Now that you're the captain of Team Yole, do you really need to join Team Celestial?" "Well, it's possible. Team Celestial is strong, has great benefits, and a bright future!" Noelle said.

"Who says I'm just an employee? If this project wins the bid, I'll get stock options and shares in Maple Enterprise," Noelle said.
