Chapter 1836 Whoever cup with the idea of morning weddings clearly wasn't a fan of sleep. It's just plain cruel.
"Right now, you should be more concerned about getting ready than wondering why weddings aren't held at night," Jenna urged.
Sophie had only wiped off her makeup five hours ago, and now she was back in the chair, as the makeup artist worked her magic.

Once everything was in place, Jenna started checking the sturdiness of Sophie's bedroom door.
"Jenna, what are you up to?" Sophie asked, puzzled.
"You wouldn't get it. I'm testing the door's strength. When Gordon comes to pick you up, I'm not letting him just stroll in," Jenna explained.
Sophie frowned. "Jenna, I'm getting married. If you keep Gordon out, how am I supposed to leave?" she protested.
"Uh... I just mean they shouldn't get in too easily!" As Jenna peered outside to assess the situation, she spotted a shadowy figure and instinctively moved to close the door. But then Adler's voice cthrough: "Jenna! It's me!" "You? Why are you only showing up now? I thought you'd be hanging with the groomsmen," Jenna said, opening the door.
Adler stood there, both hands carrying breakfast. "I figured you might not have eaten so early, so I brought your favorite breakfast. There's also sfor Ms. Sophie. Make sure to eat, because you and the bride won't have tfor a proper meal later." "I'm not worried. Gordon already made sure Sophie had treats this morning, and there's a special spread for her backstage. She won't go hungry," Jenna replied, shaking her head, amused.
Men like Gordon are hard to cby these days.

As Jenna nibbled on a croissant, she asked, "Getting married is a huge deal. Did Gordon even propose?" "Propose?" Sophie pondered for a moment. "One day, Gordon just asked if I enjoyed being with the Aldridge family. I said yes, and he handeda ring box, saying it was a gift.
"And... you just said yes?"
"Well, the diamond was so big, I couldn't resist trying it on. It It fit m perfectly. Then Mr. Aldridge and Liz saw it, got all emotional, and before I knew it, the wedding date was set."
Jenna listened, envisioning Sophie as m a young girl being charmed and M swept away. Could Gordon have been any more subtle with his proposal?
With the date already set, Jenna kept her thoughts to herself. "Sophie, always think things through first. Next tsomeone like Gordon comes along, keep an eye out. You never know what they might be up to. You don't want to end up counting cash for someone who sold you off!" "He wouldn't. My brother would never do that," Sophie assured confidently.
