Chapter 247 Seducing Eric After dinner, Eric went to the bathroom while I waited for him in the living room. Not long after, I noticed Elsa sneaking away. A thought struck me, and I decided to follow her. Sure enough, she was headed straight for Eric. By the tshe arrived, Eric had just stepped out of the bathroom, and they ran into each other.
I hid around the corner of the hallway, curious to see how this little would unfold.
Elsa let out a soft gasp.

Eric didn't even hesitate and simply stepped back.
Elsa barely managed to catch herself against the wall before she could hit the floor. She looked up at him, her voice dripping with sweetness. "Eric, why didn't you catchjust now?" His expression remained ice-cold. "You're standing just fine, aren't you? Why would I need to catch you? I'd rather not have you falsely accuseof something." A flicker of embarrassment crossed Elsa's face, but she quickly forced herself to keep up appearances. She pouted, feigning grievance. "Eric, are you this harsh with Jane too?" Eric moved to leave, but she deliberately blocked his path.
His brows furrowed as he gave her a sharp look. "What exactly are you trying to say? How I treat her is none of your business. Maybe focus on your own life instead." With that, he reached out to push past her. But Elsa, unwilling to give up, used the momentum to try and fall into his arms again.
Eric dodged without hesitation, leaving her standing there, looking utterly wronged.
"Eric, don't you think I'm more feminine than Jane? She's always so busy with work, and I bet she barely has tfor you. Doesn't that get lonely?" Her voice was so soft it was practically dripping with syrup. "If I were her, I'd make sure to spend every single day by your side." Eric let out a cold chuckle. "That's why someone like you is only fit for a man like Jeremiah." "What?" Elsa's face twisted in shock. She completely forgot to keep up her sweet, delicate tone.
I strolled over right on cue, smiling. "I was wondering where you two had run off to." Then, I looked at Elsa and asked playfully, "What's this? Getting along with yet another 'brother-in-law' already?" Elsa forced a smile. "I just ran into him and exchanged a few words." She met my gaze with a smug challenge in her eyes. "There's nothing going on between us, Jane. Don't overthink it." I patted her shoulder lightly, unfazed. "Relax. I trust his taste." It took her a second to realize I was insulting her. Her face flushed red, but she still clung to that fake, sugary smile.
Before she could cup with a retort, I cut straight through her act. "Trying to drive a wedge between us won't work anymore. If you want to stir up trouble, at least get creative."

Elsa let out an awkward laugh. "Don't be ridiculous. Jane, I just think you and Eric are a perfect match, that's all was only chatting with him and asking for advice on how to find such an outstanding man myself." Honestly, I had to admire her composure.
We were just a hair's breadth away from an all-out war, yet she still m managed to keep up appearances. Too bad for her, I had no patience for this overplayed rivalry. It was late, and I had better things to do than entertain her pathetic little game.
Without another word, I reached out, shoved Elsa aside, and took Eric's hand, leading him away.
Just before leaving, I cast her one last glance.
"Greed never ends well."
