He had thought about catching them at a public event, but there'd be too many eyes. And Farrah might be on

“Everyone in our circle knows about you and Freya,” Kevin said, clearly unconvinced. “How do | know this isn't
just a ploy?”
“The meeting will be right here at your place,” Kristian assured him. “If it'll ease your mind, beef up security or
have someone keep tabs on me.” Kevin was still puzzled, trying to make sense of his motives.
Kristian asked plainly, “So, are we working together or not?”
“This isn’t about business.” Kevin glanced toward the staircase, where Jerand Jasper were quietly studying.
“Lately, Nina's been keeping her distance from them. They haven't hung out in days.”
Kristian’s brows lifted slightly. Did something happen between them?
“I can get Jerto try, but | can’t promise anything,” Kevin said cautiously before agreeing.
“Fair enough,” Kristian replied. “As long as you give it an honest shot, I'll connect you with Ciara Lynn.”
Kevin headed upstairs to speak with Jerome.
