Chapter 1603:
In the days that followed, Farrah began to notice that Felipe was barely ever home.
Every tshe went looking for him, he either brushed her off by saying he was swamped with work or cup
with something about a friend needing help.
She had planned to sit down and talk to him, but every tshe tried to bring it up, he would toss in a joke to
dodge the conversation. After two or three failed attempts, she gave up entirely.
She even thought about calling off their movie night plans scheduled for the following week.
On Wednesday evening, Felipe returned hquietly, sneaking in like a guilty teenager.
When he spotted Farrah curled up on the sofa watching a documentary, he tiptoed over, clearly a bit uneasy.
“Why aren't you asleep yet?” he asked, lips pursed as he sank down next to her. The moment he reached out,
Farrah subtly shifted away from his touch. That small move instantly set off alarms in his head.
He glanced at her blank face, trying to read it, and asked carefully, “What's going on?”
“Nothing,” Farrah replied coolly, picking up the remote and switching off the TV. She stood up, adjusted her
clothes with calm precision, and started toward the stairs. “Make sure to turn off the living room lights before
bed.”
“Farrah,” Felipe called after her, trying to make sense of her mood.
But she ignored him and retreated to her room, distant and cold as ice. Baffled, Felipe turned to the only person

Isabella paused mid-homework, tilted her head at him, and asked, “Dad, are you really clueless, or are you just
pretending to be?”
“What?” Felipe blinked, genuinely confused.

“Haven't you noticed that Mom's upset because you're barely hand she can’t get through to you?” Isabella
asked plainly, her tone unusually serious for a kid her age.
Felipe ran back through recent memories. “Really?”
Every tFarrah had called or asked him where he was, she'd seemed completely calm. He'd made up some
excuse, and she never pushed too hard. Throughout it all, he hadn't picked up on any signs of anger. It just didn't
add up.
“Yes,” Isabella confirmed with a nod. “She’s really upset, and your little plan might be going up in smoke.”
Felipe couldn't care less about any plans anymore. He headed straight for Farrah without a second thought.
When he saw her holding her clothes, about to head into the shower, he called out, “Are you mad at me?”
Farrah paused for a split second before replying flatly, “No.”
“Bella said you're mad,” Felipe added bluntly.
