Sophia didn't nod, nor did she shake her head; just gave him a puzzled look. Despite him clearly knowing who she was, which could

potentially clue her in on her past, she weirdly felt no desire to dig into it.

For sreason, she wasn't thirsty for a stroll down memory lane.pared to digging up the past, she seemed to crave a fresh

start more - going solo in this strange new world with no strings attached, no past, no future.

She had no plans to keep tagging along with Amanda back to their world; that wasn't the life for her. Her lack of reaction brought a

fleeting shadow of disappointment across Ivan's face.

"I don't know you. Could you please stop following me?" Sophia finally spoke, her voice calm as ever.

Only Sophia could pull off that tone - peaceful yet with an undercurrent of firm refusal. lvan forced a smile, "Mind if | get your

contact info?"

Sophia smiled and shook her head. Ivan smiled back.

"Sorry," he said apologetically and turned to leave.

Sophia turned to leave too. But as she walked away, Ivan turned around too. He didn't leave; he just followed her from a distance.

He wanted to know where she lived.

Sophia was clueless about Ivan not leaving; she was at school today hunting for screative inspiration.

Once Ivan left, her mind settled back into peace, and she quickly immersed herself in the world of design, sketching in her head as

she toured around, her hand pulling out paper and pen to jot down flashes of inspiration.

During such tours and note-taking, she inevitably ran into Brandon and his entourage again. It wasn't that she was trying to pay

attention to them; it was just that the campus was so quiet, and Brandon's group was large, with President Poe being quite the

loudmouth.

His voice was so loud she could hear him from a distance before she even entered the library.

Although Sophia had briefly interacted with President Poe before, they weren't exactly chummy, and since he was entertaining

important guests, it wasn't the right tto butt in. Hence, when she heard President Poe's booming voice as she turned onto the

campus path, she couldn't help but pause and glance in the direction of the noise.

Inevitably, her gaze fell upon the tall man surrounded by the crowd. He was staring at something outside the library, his expression

unreadable.

The night had grown dark, and Sophia couldn't make out his face clearly, only seeing President Poe's group explaining the library's

issues over the years.

Sophia, knowing better than to intrude, pocketed her notebook and turned to head toward the campus gate.

Just then, Brandon turned his head, and Ivan's tall figure suddenly blocked his view. Brandon frowned slightly, "What are you doing

here?"

"Just taking a walk." Ivan said, gesturing towards a residential area outside the campus, "I rented a place nearby."

He then smiled and asked, "What brings Mr. Crawley here?"

"Just sbusiness."

Brandon responded coolly, not keen on a chat. Others couldn't help but look at Ivan with curiosity, "Who's this?"

"One of my employees," Brandon replied briefly, glancing at his watch. Seeing that it was about tand his plans were more or

less in place, he said his goodbyes to President Poe and his group.

"Why don’t you stay for dinner? It's all been arranged," President Poe quickly urged.

"No thanks, I've got things to do. Maybe another time."
