His voice rose into a roar, echoing against the walls of the study.

The more frenzied Manny grew, the lazier Dan appeared.
“Let Tessa and Diana go!” Manny snapped. “I'll give up Ashen Pact. Fine? Take it all-I don’t want it anymore!”
